The arena is a very important place in Camargue culture because it is the place where one of the events: the Camargue race, which is a sport in which the participants called "raseteurs" try to catch attributes (cockade, tassel , string) fixed to the front and the horns of a bull called cocardier or biòu (bull in Provençal) with the aid of a "hook". This sports game is non mortal !!!

Vincent Van Gogh is a figure of twentieth century art. To this day, his influence lingers on with today’s artists. It was in Arles between February 1888 and May 1889 that he produced, his most beautiful masterpieces -in  only fifteen months 

Inaugurated in April 2014, the Vincent van Gogh Arles Foundation pays a tribute to his work while exploring his impact in the current creation.

The relationship with contemporary art is inscribed in the foundation’s principle since its conception. The perspective of the painting of the Dutch master with the work of contemporary artists is destined to reveal a fertile dialogue, orientated towards questions and reflection.

Ornithological Park of the Pont De Gau

In 1949, a passionate ornithologist, André Lamouroux, opened in the Pont-de-Gau an area composed of small aviaries where some Camargue poultry species can be seen. René Lamouroux, his son, succeeded him in 1974, and decided to allow visitors to see as many species as possible in a park with the possibility of informing themselves thanks to the Park House.
